What is Parent Portal?

PowerSchool Parent Portal provides access to enrollment forms, student grades and attendance information. Both parents and students can access grades and attendance information via a web browser or the mobile applications available for both Apple and Android devices.

Parents: Select "Forms" on the left pane in your PowerParent account and complete all enrollment forms for 2023-24.

How do I get an account?

Parents can pick up their Portal information at their school's annual Open House or by contacting the school registrar.

I think I have an account.

For Parents who created accounts during a previous school year, those accounts remain active and can still be used. When visiting the login page, you may request a password change email that will be sent to the email address you used on the Parent account.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I need a Parent Portal account?

A: Yes.  Back-to-school forms, transportation forms, transfer request forms, report cards, and other important information are all available through the Parent Portal.

 

Q: I created a parent account last year. Can I still use it?

A: Yes. Your account information is still active and your password has not changed. If you don't remember your username or password, click the Forgot Password link on the login page.

 

Q: What's an Access ID/Password?

A: Access IDs and Passwords are how parents add students to their existing Parent Portal accounts

 

Q: The Access ID and Password in the mailing are not working.

A: Please email the school registrar and ask for new passwords or additional information.

Q: Do I have to use all capital letters in the Access ID or Student Login?

A: Yes, the information should be used exactly as shown on the Parent/Student Portal letter.

 

Q: I have multiple students in the school division. Can I see them all from one account?

A: Yes, all of your students may be viewed from one single Parent Portal account once all schools are active. Instructions to add students to accounts can be found here.

 

Q: How can I contact my student's teachers?

A: Within Parent Portal, email address information is made available by clicking on the teacher's name in the grade report.

 

Q: What about Mobile Apps for Google or Apple?

A: Parent and Student apps are available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. There are separate apps for each purpose. Parents must create their accounts on a PC, laptop, or Chromebook before attempting to use the mobile apps. The same login information used on the Parent Portal website may also be used on the apps. Parents must create their accounts before attempting to use the mobile apps.  The district code for NCPS is TXDF.
