A Message from the Principal...

Welcome to Blackstone Primary School!  I am Ruth Ann Horn, the Principal of this school.  The staff continues to focus on all children being the “BEST” students that they can become.  We utilize many different instructional strategies to focus on raising student achievement.  Our concentration is on the reading skills because reading is the key to being successful in all subjects.  We try to build good citizenship through our character education program.  We want to have well-rounded students who want to contribute to the community.

It's 2010
Let the "GREEN" Thinking Begin!

February
Cut the amount of energy used to heat and cool your home (and save money too) by investing in a programmable thermostat. You can lower (or raise) the set temperature while you are away at work during the day or bundled up in bed at night. Most programmable thermostats allow you to set weekday and weekend routines and will also hold the temperature steady while you are on vacation.
