A Message from the Principal...

Burkeville Elementary School is very proud of its student’s achievement in all areas. We work to provide a high quality education in a warm family environment. Our students are excited about learning and strive to do their best. We offer hands-on experiences, demonstrations with real world connections, a variety of strategies using technology, and many incentives to encourage effort and reward achievement.  Our 21st Century Learning Center continues to be very successful, enabling students to participate in a wide variety of after-school activities and field trips.

Reading is a primary focus for Burkeville Elementary School. We truly believe that our students will be more successful in school and later in life if they are strong readers.  To make this happen, a variety of intervention strategies are utilized to meet the needs of each student. We encourage independent reading by rewarding students who read and earn points with special activities each month as well as events at the end of the school year.
